jSnow, is a jQuery plug-in that adds falling snow effect to your website (using javascript), a very common decorative effect that every website needs for Christmas! jSnow is lightweight (2.6kb), doesn't require any external files to run (css or images) and it's very easy to use! Besides the small footprint, jSnow offers various other unique features like:

• The falling snow effect, follows you as you scroll vertically along the page.
• jSnow 1.1 seamlessly supports images, characters and HTML special characters.
• No use of external files (CSS) or images, you just use "jsnow.js" file.

After (almost) four hundred days of abandonment, I finally found the time, the strength and the enthusiasm to resurrect my blog. jFav, is a jQuery plug-in, that allows you in the most easiest way to add your website to the user's favourites/bookmarks. It is a very simple to use and enables the user that visit's your website to click on a button/link and create a new bookmark/favorite in his browser! Moreover jFav allows you to create custom bookmarks/favorites to the current page the user is visiting or any other page, in your site or in the web in general. The size of jFav is 3kb so it's a must have tool for every web developer!

Adobe's FireWork CS 4 (actual version 10) is the new "tool" of the trade for (web) developers and designers that want to create: websites, RIAs (Rich Internet Applications), UIs (User Interfaces) and any kind of design or layout that will interact with users. FireWorks is not very popular in the design market, since most of the users prefer Photoshop to create their layouts. In this short review/presentation I will focus on three things: a) what are the new features of the program, b) whether the FireWorks CS4 was really improved from the previous release and c) what new features Adobe should have included and they didn't. In (the rare) case you are not familiar with FireWorks, then you will have to see and use it ASAP, especially if you are a (graphic) design and you are using other products of Adobe's Family (Flash, DreamWeaver and Flex) in your business or creative workflow.

Adobe Flash C4 is out along with other great software of Adobe’s CS4 suite! We have been waiting for this release, along with Flash Player 10 for a very looong time, or at least I have. Promises of "pseudo" 3d, fully customizable and easy animations, animation presets, bone and IK systems and many many many wonderful things were ready to be delivered to the hungry audience! Bellow you will find my thoughts, first impressions and opinion about one of the best (maybe the best) software/platform in the web-town! My experience with Flash CS4 is short, about 3 or 4 hours...so maybe a month or two after I have worked fully with it, I will have a more concrete opinion and write a full review.

I am great fun of Flash since 1999, when I started to work professionally in the Flash platform. I’ve followed along every transition and never complaint. I must admit that I was a little afraid when Adobe bought Macromedia, but (thank god) the transition went smoothly like a baby’s butt! The following is not an actual review of the products, is something between: article, review, presentation and first impressions!

In jQuery all effects are applied simultaneously, to all elements selected by the query, with EffectChain you can apply all jQuery effects (1.2+) in a chain (sequence). ALL effects are supported: hide, show, fadeIn, fadeOut, fadeTo & animate! Moreover with EffectChain you can shuffle the order of the effect on the DOM elements (reverse or random), setup delays between the application of the effect to an element plus many more features, and all these with a minimal footprint!

A very useful plugin for re-creating the effect of a typewriter in any number of HTML text nodes. jTypeWriter can handle the type writing of more than one nodes, and type the characters in sequential order, with a minimal footprint (2.8kb)!
